On 5 September 2025, the Tile Association of New Zealand (TANZ) proudly hosted the first-ever national Tiling Industry Conference at Novotel Auckland Ellerslie — bringing together tilers, waterproofers, builders, architects, suppliers, regulators, and construction professionals from across the country.

The one-day event delivered a powerful combination of industry updates, practical training, and meaningful connections, reinforcing TANZ’s commitment to raising standards and strengthening professionalism across the New Zealand tiling sector.

Understanding Critical Regulatory Changes

A key focus of the conference was preparing the industry for upcoming changes to internal wet area waterproofing regulations and the introduction of new LBP licensing requirements.
