Building on Industry Success

Since 2017, TANZ has represented New Zealand's tile industry by promoting best practice, quality workmanship, education, and collaboration throughout the wider construction sector.

Working alongside the Construction Growth Foundation (CGF), TANZ led the update of the BRANZ Good Practice Guide: Tiling, which was endorsed by MBIE in 2025 and continue to reference the IWAM code of Practice. The guide is now used by BCITO to support apprentice education throughout New Zealand.

TANZ has continued to raise professional standards through the successful TANZ TEAM Training Programme, while working closely with organisations including Registered Master Builders, New Zealand Certified Builders, and BRANZ to improve guidance around E3 compliance and support the introduction of New Zealand's new licensing category for internal membrane application.
